Hugely promising power metal infused melodeath with zero weak links. I love to hear stuff coming out of VA that's as good as anything from Europe. Even the production is top notch.

A Chesapeake, VA based Power Metal/Melodic Death Metal band. Edolus shares musical themes with bands such as Sabaton, Ensiferum, Wintersun, and Amon Amarth. Following their 2023 release "The Origin", "Fate" continues Edolus’s exploration of mortality and existential dread. This record tells the haunting tale of our hero informed of his impending death by an ethereal being only to be then forced to confront fear, denial, and ultimately acceptance as he descends through celestial chaos and into the unknown. With "Fate", Edolus melds both crushing heaviness and atmospheric soundscapes into an immersive narrative experience that captures both the terror and tranquility of surrendering to one's destiny.
